What Implications does the Russian Aggression on Ukraine have on the Three Seas Initiative member countries? Can it catalyze the cooperation among 3SI states from the political, economic and security perspective? What role may the 3SI play in the process of supporting and rebuilding Ukraine?
These questions are tackled by the experts from different think tanks that are forming the Three Seas Think Tanks Hub – a network of analytical organisations in the region:
Prof. Ognyan Minchev – professor of political science in the Department of Political Science at the University of Sofia, Bulgaria; Executive Director of the Institute for Regional and International Studies (IRIS);
Dr. Hannes Swoboda – President of the International Institute for Peace (IIP), member of the European Parliament since 1996, Vice President of the Social Democrat Group until 2012 und then President until 2014;
Dr. Mihai Sebe – expert in Romanian and European Politics within the European Institute of Romania, where he is the Head of the European Studies Unit, also Associate Editor at the Romanian Journal of European Affairs;
Julita Wilczek – Three Seas Initiative researcher, former Deputy Director at the Department of Innovation in the Ministry of Development and Technology in Poland and former Member of the Board at the Sobieski Institute;
Richard Grieveson – Deputy Director at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw) and Research Associate at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna;
Olevs Nikers – President of the Baltic Security Foundation and a senior analyst at the Jamestown Foundation (Washington, D.C.), from 2001 to 2019 he has also worked at the Ministry of Defense of Latvia;
Roman Máca – analyst at the Institute for Politics and Society in Prague, Czech Republic, responsible for security, media and ICT issues; he graduated from International Development Studies at the Palacky University in Olomouc.

Three Seas Think Tanks Hub is a platform of cooperation among different think tanks based in 3SI member countries. Their common goal is to strengthen public debate and understanding of the Three Seas region seen from the political, economic and security perspectives.
