The Three Seas Initiative – key opportunities and challenges for economic cooperation

The following project aims to identify the unexploited opportunities and existing barriers to the intensification of economic cooperation among the twelve EU Member States that comprise the Three Seas Initiative: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.

In this report, we focus on the prospects of attracting more foreign investors to the Three Seas region from the U.S., UK, Germany, Japan, South Korea, the Nordics and the problematic case of China. We also identify the key barriers that stand in the way of attracting more funds for investments and propose solutions on how to overcome them.
